14K Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Watch

Our Perspective: 

Introduced in the 1980s, the Rolex Date ref. 15037 is powered by Rolex’s quickset Caliber 3035, combining the practicality of an independently adjustable date with classic details such as an acrylic crystal and fluted bezel. Unlike many of Rolex’s later solid gold pieces, the 15037 was crafted in 14k gold, lending it a subtler tone and lighter feel compared with the richer 18k alloys that followed. Its timeless proportions and refined vintage character have made it a favorite among collectors who appreciate understated yet historically rich Rolex designs. 

Our example exemplifies everything that makes this reference compelling for a vintage collection: it wears beautifully on the wrist thanks to its original 7205 rivet Oyster bracelet with an F-code clasp that matches the case’s production year, adding strong provenance. The fluted bezel frames a clean silver stick dial with crisp, classic indices, and the watch remains in great collector condition with full links and a well-preserved case and dial that show minimal wear. It’s a crisp, wearable and fully original vintage Rolex that feels every bit as purposeful today as when it was new. Watch weighs a total of 95g.

Condition Report:

Very good vintage condition. Case has been polished in the past but retains sharp lugs, bezel flutes and hallmarks on inner lugs. Medium scratches throughout the case and bracelet. Dial, hands and crystal are in very well-preserved condition with only minimal signs of aging visible.

Original 14K yellow gold 7205 rivet Oyster bracelet shows light signs of wear with zero stretch and full 13 links. F code on clasp from 1981 matches the 7.1 million serial dating to 1982. 

Movement shows very minimal signs of previous servicing and age. Watch recently received a full service and winds, sets and runs without issue. The watch currently runs at a 5-position average of -1 S/D | 284° AMP | .0 MS BE.
