18K Audemars Piguet BA77120 Mini Ladies Watch

If small Royal Oaks are the only thing that come to mind when you think of ladies Audemars Piguet’s watches, you’re overlooking some of the best vintage pieces. This reference BA77120.0.002, produced in the late 1980s to early 1990s, features a solid 18K yellow gold case, a crisp white Roman numeral dial, and an impressively compact manual-wind AP movement.

What makes it especially interesting is that it retains true mechanical DNA. At a time when many smaller watches were fitted with quartz movements, this one houses a proper manual caliber, essentially a scaled-down dress watch in both construction and spirit. It isn’t simplified or compromised, it’s mechanically authentic, just executed in a more compact format.

This is a difficult reference to find, particularly in this condition. It retains its original 18K yellow gold buckle and strap, and the case shows only minimal wear, beginning to develop a soft, natural patina that adds character while preserving its sharp lines. When it comes to vintage Audemars Piguet dress watches, the value relative to quality is hard to beat, and this example makes a strong case for looking beyond the obvious icons.

Condition Report:

Overall Grade: 8.75 (Very Good)

Case: The case presents well overall, with light wear throughout and two areas on the non-crown side and caseback showing slightly deeper scratches consistent with honest vintage use.

Bracelet: Original Audemars Piguet black crocodile strap is in very good condition and fits a maximum wrist size of around 6.25". 18K yellow gold Audemars Piguet pin buckle has light scratches.

Dial: The edge of dial shows some damage between 2 and 4 o’clock, though it is not overly noticeable. The crystal and hands remain in excellent condition.

Movement: AP Caliber 2080 is in beautiful aesthetic condition and is running at a 5-position average of -7.2 S/D | 245° AMP |  0.2MS BE.
