18K Breguet Tiffany & Co Stamped Classique Ladies Watch

Our Perspective:

Tiffany & Co. began retailing Breguet in the United States in 1981, becoming the first and only American retailer to offer the manufacture’s watches and clocks at the time, as well as the only retailer permitted to stamp its name on them. Dating to circa the 1980s, this exceptionally rare Classique comes from the Daniel Roth era of Breguet and carries that coveted Tiffany & Co. signature, a detail seldom encountered on Breguet watches and even more unusual in this petite ladies configuration.

At just 24mm and an incredible 4mm thick, the 18K gold case is itself a rare size for the Classique, with a manually wound movement allowing for its remarkably thin profile. Complete with its original Breguet buckle, the combination of Roth-era production, unusual size, Tiffany & Co. signature, and mechanical movement makes this a particularly special example that we rarely see come to market.

Condition Report:

Case: Previously polished, but retains a strong case and two visible French eagle hallmarks on caseback. Caseback has personal engraving "ASW". Medium scratches and indentations throughout.

Bracelet: Generic replacement black leather strap shows medium signs of wear throughout. Original 18K yellow gold Breguet buckle has medium scratches and wear throughout.

Dial: Original Breguet guilloché dial is double-stamped "Tiffany & Co." and has medium discoloration and spotting throughout, mainly concentrated near edges and guilloché pattern. Crystal has light scratches throughout.

Movement: Manual-winding Breguet Caliber is running dial-up at a rate of -5.4 S/D | 211° AMP | 0.8MS BE. Service is recommended for accurate timekeeping.
