The Vacheron Constantin Ref. 39009 is about as simple as it gets, in a good way. Thin 18K yellow gold case, two hands, no extra noise. At 33mm and only 6mm thick, it wears really close to the wrist and feels more like a part of you than something sitting on top. It’s not trying to stand out, it just looks right. The gold brushed dial is clean with applied markers and a soft finish that catches light without doing too much. Inside is the manual wind Caliber 1015, keeping everything slim and in line with the watch.
Condition Report:
Case: Appears unpolished with medium scratches, dents and signs of wear throughout. Signs of previous caseback removal. Original maltese cross signed crown. Caseback has personal engraving reads "M.J.W BASEL 1983"
Strap/Bracelet: Original Vacheron black alligator strap has medium wear and creasing and fits a wrist size of 7.5" or smaller. Original period-correct 18K yellow gold pin buckle is 750 hallmarked and signed AW for Anders Wimmer.
Dial/Crystal/Hands: Dial, hands and sapphire crystal are in mint condition with minimal signs of age.
Movement: Manual Winding Vacheron Constantin Cal. 1015 is in beautiful aesthetic condition and is currently running with a 5-position average of -17 S/D | 288° AMP | .3 MS BE.
