Jaeger-LeCoultre is often called the watchmaker’s watchmaker for good reason, having built movements trusted by some of the most prestigious brands in the world. While many smaller ladies watches eventually turned to quartz movements, Jaeger-LeCoultre continued to bring serious mechanical watchmaking to even its most petite designs.
This Ref. 6035 from circa the 1970s measures just 19mm x 29mm and 7mm thick, pairing an 18K white gold case with a beautiful black onyx dial. Inside is the manually wound Caliber 841, giving this elegant ladies dress watch the same mechanical character that defines the brand’s larger pieces. Its unusual dial, precious metal case, and compact proportions make it a particularly distinctive vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre.
Condition Report:
Case: Case appears unpolished with deep hallmarks on 9 o'clock side and caseback. Medium to heavy scratches and indentations throughout.
Strap/Bracelet: Watch comes on a replacement generic black leather strap and generic silver-toned buckle. Fits a maximum wrist size of 6.75"
Dial/Crystal/Hands: Dial is in well-preserved condition with light surface scratches and without any cracks or chips. Crystal has minor scratches, swirl marks and chips throughout.
Movement: Manual Winding JLC Caliber 841 winds, sets and runs but has inaccurate/inconsistent timing results. A full service is recommended for accurate timekeeping.
