The Cartier Gondole was released in 1973 as part of the Louis Cartier collection alongside some of their most popular watches like the Ceinture, Baignoire, Cristallor and Bamboo Coussin.
This is the PM (Petite/Small Model) and features all the classic Cartier design elements such as the white enamel dial with black roman numerals, chemin de fer minute track, hidden Cartier signature at 7 o'clock, blued steel hands and matching cabochon. What makes this watch even more special is the perfectly even "spider dial" seen only up close and in certain lighting and the sought-after Paris signature at 6 o'clock and caseback.
Condition Report:
Very Good vintage condition. Watch shows signs of previous polishing. Minor scratches throughout metal. Watch has a replacement Cartier strap with signs of wear and gold-plated Cartier buckle with slight plating wear. Original enamel dial shows even spidering that does not affect the integrity of the dial to our knowledge. Watch was recently serviced and meets expected timekeeping standards.
