Our Perspective:
Legend has it that Cartier and Gerald Genta created the first Pasha de Cartier wristwatch in the 1930s, when the Pasha of Marrakesh, Thami El Glaoui, requested a one-of-a-kind watch from Louis Cartier: a watch resilient enough to keep pace with his active lifestyle and that could boast a level of water-resistance for his swims. This led to the creating of the Pasha de Cartier, a watch with a crown cover and removable metal grid to protect the dial. This specific iteration was created in 1997 for the 150th Anniversary of Cartier. This limited edition of 1847 pieces watch features a red spinel (instead of blue) on the crown, a removable metal grid, and an open caseback with decorated rotor.
Condition Report:
Very Good overall condition. Moderate scratches and light indentations throughout case, grid and buckle. Original Cartier strap shows moderate signs of wear. Dial, hands and crystal are free from any signs of wear. Comes with blank original sales warranty.
