Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Duoface Small Seconds Watch

Our Perspective:

The Reverso is one of those designs that hasn't had to change much for a reason. It all started in 1931 as a practical solution for polo players: flip the case over so you don’t crack the crystal mid match. That simple idea ended up becoming one of the most recognizable watch designs in the world and inspired similar designs from almost every watch company under the sun. The rectangular case, the Art Deco lines, the way it wears, it all still feels right today. It’s moved away from being a true sport watch over time, but that original function is still what makes it interesting.

This Duoface Small Seconds reference Q3848420 keeps that idea intact but makes it more useful. Same classic proportions, but now you’ve got two dials off one manual movement. The front is traditional with the two-tone silver dial and small seconds while the reverse gives you a darker second time zone that you’ll actually use. It’s thin, easy on the wrist, and feels like a proper JLC should. Offered as a full set with its original strap and buckle, and in well-preserved condition, it’s about as good as it gets.

Condition Report:

Case: Appears unpolished with light to medium scratches throughout.

Strap/Bracelet: Original Jaeger-LeCoultre black alligator strap and stainless steel double-deployant buckle show medium signs of wear/scratches.

Dial/Crystal/Hands: Both dial, hands and sapphire crystals are in mint condition with minimal signs of wear.

Movement: Manual Winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 854 winds, sets and is currently running strong with a 5-position average of +1.1 S/D | 262° AMP | 0.2MS BE. 

Watch comes with its original JLC inner & outer box, warranty card dated June 2021, instruction manual, 2x booklets and a blank hangtag.
