As vintage lovers and frequent advocates of smaller case sizes, we rarely find ourselves reaching for a 41mm Datejust over the traditional 36mm. That being said, this 126xxx Datejust 41 quickly won us over once it was on the wrist. Compared to earlier generations, the proportions are noticeably improved, with slimmer lugs and a more refined bezel that gives the watch a clean and balanced feel while wearing larger at the same time.
The real highlight, though, is the dial. Chocolate with stick hour markers was one of the most desirable dials Rolex offered for this reference. The 18K rose gold fluted bezel, stainless steel case, and two tone Everose Rolesor bracelet pull together perfectly with the brown dial working just as well dressed up in a suit as it does worn casually in jeans and a t-shirt.
