Our Perspective:

The Panthère de Cartier has been popular since its release in the 1980s. In fact, it has been worn by the likes of Princess Diana, Madonna, and Charlie Sheen. The majority of these watches (and all current models) are Mini, Small, and Medium models, usually fitting better on ladies' wrists. However, in the 1990s, Cartier made a unisex "Jumbo" model measuring 29x40mm and just 6mm thick that was later discontinued in the early 2000s and never brought back. Its larger proportions make it a particularly interesting alternative for those who love the Panthère design but prefer a more substantial presence on the wrist.

This W25032F5 / 130 000 C reference fits great on a wide range of wrist sizes and features all the iconic Panthère design cues, including blued steel hands, Roman numeral hour markers with a hidden Cartier signature at 7 o'clock, and a bracelet with a concealed butterfly clasp that wears like a piece of jewelry. This model also features a date window at 3 o'clock, a practical addition not typically found on the smaller Panthère models. In our opinion, the Jumbo strikes a great balance between the elegance of the original design and the versatility of a larger everyday watch.

Condition Report:

Case: Watch has been regularly worn with medium scratches and small dings throughout.

Strap/Bracelet: Moderate scratches and indentations throughout. Watch has 11 links and fits a maximum wrist size of 6.25".

Dial/Crystal/Hands: Minor cream patina throughout dial, concentrated near edges. Light hairline scratch on crystal near 7 o'clock.

Movement: Quartz Cartier Caliber sets and runs without issues.
