Stainless Steel Cartier Santos Galbée W20040D6 Large Model Watch

Introduced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Santos Galbée, the Cartier Ref. W20040D6 is a particularly attractive take on one of the brand’s most recognizable designs. Crafted entirely from stainless steel, this Large Model features a beautiful silver guilloché dial that adds depth and texture while retaining the signature Roman numerals, exposed bezel screws, and integrated bracelet that define the Santos.

Measuring 29mm x 41mm, the Large Model has become one of our favorite generations of the Santos, combining the proportions and character of a vintage Cartier with the practicality of a more modern watch. Paired with the guilloché dial and full stainless steel construction, this anniversary reference is a versatile and distinctive version of the Santos Galbée.

Condition Report:

Case: Watch has been previously polished, but remains in strong condition with sharp beveling and thick, even lugs. Light to medium scratches and small dings throughout case, bezel and caseback.

Strap/Bracelet: Original Cartier screw bracelet is in strong condition with zero stretch and medium scratches and signs of wear throughout. 18 links total and fits a wrist size of 6.25" or smaller. Cartier stainless steel double-deployant clasp has medium scratches.

Dial/Crystal/Hands: Dial, hands and sapphire crystal are clean and in well-preserved condition with just faint signs of age visible under magnification.

Movement: Automatic Cartier caliber sets, runs and keeps accurate time, however, there is resistance when winding the crown manually. Watch runs with a 5-position average timegraph readout of -3.9 S/D | 230° AMP | 0.3 MS BE.
