Our Perspective:

Universal Genève was founded in 1894 and is most notably known for their Chronograph Compax watches, Genta-designed Polerouter line and impressive micro rotor movements. However, challenges such as the quartz-crisis and inadequate marketing led the brand to declare bankruptcy in the 1980s. In the late 1990s, the brand saw a brief revival after being acquired, but little progress was made. In 2019, Breitling acquired Universal Genève, sparking anticipation and interest among enthusiasts for the brand's future.
This Venise watch dates to the 1980s and features a unique square shaped case, beaded bezel, UG signed buckle and crown and quartz caliber 1-42 movement.

Condition Report:

Good vintage condition. Case shows moderate signs of wear and scratches throughout with little to no plating wear. Dial and hands are in very good condition with minimal to no wear. Replacement generic strap in new condition. Crystal has minor scratches throughout. Original UG buckle shows plating loss.

Condition Grade: 7.5/10
